When Ziggy and Delfi came to me, they were at their wits' end. Their tour business, inherited during the COVID-19 pandemic, had survived and even thrived, but the brand they had inherited was weak and didn’t reflect their vision. Delfi, a fine artist, tried her hand at designing a logo but quickly realized it wasn’t hitting the mark and she didn’t know why.
Ziggy reached out to me after a conversation with his signwriter, Jackson from Redgate Signage. Jackson advised Ziggy to invest in a solid Brand Identity before proceeding with the car decals. That's when Ziggy contacted me, and we got to work.
The first phase of brand design involves diving headfirst into the why, who, what, and how of the business—a process we call "Strategy". Together, we explored the soul of the brand, uncovering its unique personality. This phase culminates in a verbal strategy document and a visual tone-of-voice (moodboard) that sets the stage for the next steps.
Inspired by this foundation, I developed a unique logo imbued with meaning, along with a color palette and font selection. Depending on the package, I also create mock-ups to illustrate how the new brand will look in various contexts.
Ziggy and Delfi were thrilled with their new look. Naturally, they wanted their website to reflect this updated brand. Their existing website, while functional, didn’t tell the story of All About Margaret River Tours and wasn’t designed to appeal to their target market. It was also difficult to update.
To design a website that truly resonates with its audience, compelling content is crucial. Ziggy and Delfi had invested in their Brand Identity, but that was just the beginning. The two other essential elements for a website design are the copy (text) and images.
I teamed up with an SEO copywriter and a branding photographer to create content that would make the website shine. Once we finalized the content, I built a custom site using Framer—a powerful website builder with a fuss-free back end, allowing easy updates. You can see the final design at allaboutmargaretriver.com.au.
